Asking several questions is a great way to get a good
sense of the quality and professionalism of the magician or
entertainer you are considering for your event. Here are several Frequently Asked Questions
that I hear on a regular basis. You can click on a specific question

What
makes your service unique? Why should I hire you?
When you book an A2 Magic show, you'll get the same
commitment to excellence that I have given to over 12,000 other
audiences nationally and locally...one performance at a time.
You'll get a high quality, thoroughly entertaining
magic show that is clean, professional, and
specifically geared to the age and make-up of your audience.
You'll get an entertainer who
is 100% reliable (I'll be there, ready to begin at the scheduled
time) and who always uses good judgment (nothing offensive or
embarassing to even one member of your audience).
You'll always get an excellent value. I truly believe that you won't
find a better entertainment value in all of Southeastern Michigan.
People who hire me (many over and over again) tell me that on a
regular basis.
When was the last time you
booked a show that was totally risk-free and guaranteed? Mine is! I
don't know of any other magician or entertainer who will honor this
offer. Schedule any of my services for your next event and If your
group isn't delighted, your show is FREE!
One last detail...and this is
important! If I should
happen to be unavailable for your event, I'll be glad to refer one
or two other magicians or entertainers whom I
respect and trust will do a great job for you. My goal is to make
your experience a totally pleasant one. I'd much rather have you book another
qualified professional, than mistakenly hire one who is not up to par.

Should I call the day before the show to confirm that you will be there for my
event?
This is certainly a legitimate question. I receive several calls
every year from distraught people who have planned parties or other
events, saying their magician, clown or entertainer cancelled at the
last minute and asking if I could possibly fill in. This is something you
will never need to be concerned with when you book my services.
You are certainly welcome to call me at any time if you have
questions or concerns. However, you can be confident knowing that I
take every commitment seriously. My reputation depends on it!
In over 12,000 shows over the past 40 years, I have never missed a single performance. Once you have scheduled an A2 Magic show, you
can count on me being there.

How
soon should I book the show?
Typically, the sooner the better, if you would like choice
times and dates.
I'm fortunate to do as many as 40 shows each month. Weekends and
holidays are especially busy. While many people will check my
availability prior to setting their event date, it's always to
your advantage to reserve your date as soon as possible.

Do you use animals in your show? Do you use any dangerous items?
A great show is best determined by the quality and experience of the
magician and the favorable and enthusiastic response of the
audience. I can offer you the best of both factors without the
potential problems that animals or dangerous items may
present.
Animals are sometimes a pleasant addition to a stage magician's
performance, but in your home, or in close quarters, there are some
important things you may want to consider.
It doesn't happen often, but it does happen...Over the years, I
have heard of several instances where audience members have been
frightened by the sudden appearance of a dove, or "nipped" on the
finger by the bunny, not to mention the possibilities of allergies
of invited guests, or soiled carpets and furniture by the animals.
Some magicians will do tricks with fire, knives or
dangerous items and often not use good judgment in choosing the proper
environment and audience to perform them for.
My goal has always been to maximize the fun and entertainment in my
show while at the same time eliminating any potential problems
that may occur through the use of animals, fire or any dangerous
materials that may not be perfectly suited to the audience that I am
working for.

How do
you require payment? Is a deposit necessary?
I like to make booking your show hassle-free and as convenient as
possible. Most entertainers will ask for a non-refundable deposit
once a date is reserved. I usually don't.
Once the show is booked over the phone, you can count on me being
there! There is never a deposit
required up front, except in very rare situations where alternative
rain dates are reserved for outdoor performances. Payment is generally not due until after the show
has been presented. Payment may be made by check or by cash, whichever
is most convenient for you.

What
is the length of your show?
The length of my performances vary, depending on the nature of the
show, and will generally run anywhere from 15-45 minutes.
A telegram, a birthday party, a banquet, or
walk-around magic at an open house or wedding reception will all
run for different lengths of time. Thousands of performances, in all
types of venues, have taught me that it's always better to leave an
audience wanting a little more rather than overstaying your welcome. My
shows are all well rehearsed and well timed to provide maximum
impact without running a minute too long. Once I have all the
details of your event, I'll be able to suggest the type of
performance which will be most effective, and the correct amount of
time to best suit your needs.
Here are some general rules of thumb for
gauging the most
effective performance times.
A Magic-Gram / Telegram - 15 or 25 minutes.
A
Child's Birthday Party - 30-40 minutes.
Banquet, School Assembly, Library or Picnic - 30-45 minutes.
Walk-Around / Close-Up Magic - Usually by the hour.
(Depending on the size of the audience - 40-75 guests per hour.)

How do you dress for
your performance?
You can always expect me to dress in a manner that is
neat, clean, professional and best suited to the type of performance
that I will be giving.
A child's birthday party and a black-tie affair
certainly call for different forms of attire. Very often, especially
on weekends, I will do as many as 4-6 shows in one day - from a 30th,
40th or 50th birthday telegram to a company picnic, from an
anniversary celebration to a church festival. Usually,
in a case such as this, I will be dressed in a way that will most
suitably adapt to all events.
Many younger children are frightened by clowns and character
performers.
As I do a great deal of family and children's shows, I prefer to
dress in a way that will put them at ease and allow me to focus on
presenting a high-energy, laugh-packed magic show perfectly geared
to their level.

How much
space do you need?
I'm perfectly comfortable working close to an audience. In fact, I
prefer it.
I can get by working in a space as small as 4'X4', if necessary, with
the audience 3' in front of me. Ideally, a larger space would
be better and would allow greater flexibility. In practically any
circumstance, I am able to adapt.
It is always best for the audience to be directly in
front of the performance area, rather than in the round. If you are
planning a banquet show, it would be to your advantage to discuss
details with me prior to setting up the room.
